Elaine May (Krosnicki) Lewis

Elaine Lewis (nee Krosnicki), age 93, passed away February 12, 2024.

Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Robert for 68 years. Loving mother of Patricia, Jacqueline (late David), Robert (Bernadette), Kenneth, Richard (Ann) and James. Proud grandmother of Thomas (Debra), Rebecca (Michael), Lisa, Robert III, Steven (Erica), and Lauren. Great-grandmother of Lucy, Edward, James, and Dominic. Devoted aunt to 13 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, her parents, Stanley and Josephine Krosnicki, and her sisters and brother, Rita, Dolores, Lorraine, Pearl, Theresa and Richard.

Elaine graduated from St. Elizabeth High School. She enjoyed bowling where she met her husband, Robert, who said he married her because she was "honest, loyal and pretty". She was a devoted mother to her 6 children with the cooking skills to feed an army. She was an avid crocheter on car rides to the Lake James cottage, whereby each of her children benefited from at least one blanket.

She was an active member of St. Sylvester and St. Faustina parishes. For many years she volunteered for the Catholic Services Appeal, Meals on Wheels and the St. Sylvester religious education.

Visitation Friday, February 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. Instate at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Mile Road, Warren.
