Irene (Durda) Janiszewski

Irene Janiszewski, age 95, passed away May 21, 2021.

Irene was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Janiszewski for 63 years; loving mother of Cathy Seifert, Michael Janiszewski, and Cynde Janiszewski; devoted grandmother of Carrie (LaMont) Mitchell and Marianne (Steve) Mouton; proud great-grandmother of Thomas, Kiara, Michelle, Janae, Elise, and Stevie; sister of Raymond (Lexi) Durda, the late Joseph Durda, the late Stanley Guzal, the late Henry Durda, the late Leonard Durda; the late Virginia Prill, the late Eleanora Conell, and the late Anne Marie Miyamoto; and sister-in-law of Lillian Durda, the late Alice Durda, Patricia Durda, Eleanore Janiszewski, and the late George Conell.

Irene was truly the matriarch of her family and home. She was such a loving and giving mother and a wonderful homemaker. She will be deeply missed by her whole family.

Visitation Wednesday, May 26, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. Instate Thursday, May 27, from 9:00 a.m. until the 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mark Catholic Church, 4401 Bart Ave., Warren, Michigan.

St. Mark Church is requiring all attendees to wear masks.

Current restrictions have the funeral home allowing 25 people at any one time in our chapel so please be patient so we can make sure everyone has a chance to pay their respects to Irene and her family. Current mask mandates ask us to make sure that unvaccinated individuals where a mask. If you wish to not wear your mask inside the funeral home please bring confirmation of vaccination status.

Donations in Irene's name may be made to either the Michigan Humane Society (www.michiganhumane.org) or to St. Mark Catholic Church.
