Carol E. (Sepke) Heidenreich

March 3, 1935 — May 29, 2024

Warren, Michigan

Carol E. Heidenreich, age 89, passed away May 29, 2024.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Myron Heidenreich; loving mother of Karen (Robert) Munson and the late Charles Heidenreich; mother-in-law of Angela Heidenreich; devoted grandmother of Garrett (Emily) Munson, Brad (Rachel) Munson, Daniel (Colleen) Munson, Elizabeth Heidenreich, the late Joseph Heidenreich, and Alexandria Heidenreich; proud great-grandmother of Harper, Elsie, Finn, Avalene, Aiden, Owen, Nora, and Hadley; and dear sister of Marylou Sepke. She was also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan to William and Milda Sepke. She graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana with her bachelor's degree in education. Carol was then a teacher in the Livonia school system for many years then continued working in a different career. Carol got a job working for Kmart's headquarters and stayed there for 25 years. With them, she worked as a computer programmer and analyst and eventually got promoted to a manager position.  She never really, truly, let go of teaching though; she always taught everyone around her how things should be and how they should be done. Tragically, Carol's husband, Myron, passed away early in his life, which forced her to be in the position of being a single parent and having a career at the same time. Although her circumstances showed the world what a strong and independent woman looked like and gave her family a truly great role model in their lives. Carol was a very loving person to both her family and her friends; she had a very big heart. Carol spent a lot of her free time living in and volunteering in her church community at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, of which she was a charter member. She also was a member of the choir at the church and was even a soloist. She really loved to sing. Other things she loved doing in her life were gardening and crafting. She made quilts, wreaths, and anything else crafty that you can think of. Carol lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
