Christine E. (Krull) Young

Chris sadly passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 73. She was a kind, compassionate, loving soul, and improved the lives of everyone she touched. Chris was born on February 6, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan to Dell and Betty Krull, who made a lasting impact on how she lived her life and treated others.

She enjoyed and embraced the simple things in life, such as social media (where she had many, many friends), traveling, attending sporting events (especially when her children and grandchildren were involved), and caring for all of her adorable puppies (current and past), among many other activities. Above all things, Chris’ one true love and passion was family. Facebook was a close second. All joking aside, she truly put her family’s best interests before her own. She genuinely loved to visit with all of her children and grandchildren in her blended family and made many personal sacrifices to ensure everyone’s well-being. They were her pride and joy. She enjoyed the caring and collaborative relationships with her sister, Andrea, and brother, Bill. But most of all, she was a devoted and loving wife to her best friend and husband, Paul, whom she adored. Chris and Paul did everything together and they enjoyed every minute of it with true love and appreciation for one another.

Rest easy. You are truly missed, but now you are at peace. We know you will be watching over us.

Chris was the beloved wife of Paul Young; loving mother of Dennis Horn, David Horn (Deanne Kennedy), Tim (Ann) Young, and Tera Young; caring grandmother of Steven, Grant, Gavin, Nolan, Trevor, Kyle, Josh, Ashley, James, Taylor, and Alex; daughter of the late Dell and the late Betty Krull; dear sister of the late Bill (the late Angie) Krull and Andrea (Bruce) Sorrentino; doting aunt of Dawn Krull, Jonathan Krull, and Michael Sorrentino; and ­human mother to her furry babies, Sadie and Ziggy.

Services are currently private, but the family is planning to have a celebration of life gathering at a later date for friends and family to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations may be made in Chris' name to a charity of your choice.
