For 45 dedicated years, Colleen poured her heart into the food service industry, with 19 of those years spent at American House in Troy, Michigan. There, she formed deep bonds with the residents, embodying not only the profession's spirit but also the essence of a caregiver who truly loved those she served. Colleen was known for her unwavering work ethic—an embodiment of commitment and passion, earning the affection of many who were fortunate to cross her path.
The essence of Colleen’s personality was reflected in her friendliness, a trait that drew people to her like moths to a flame. She was the kind of woman who could light up a room with her presence, a loving figure who cherished her role as a second mother to her niece and nephews. Family was her North Star; she enveloped her loved ones in a warm embrace, ensuring they remained close and integral participants in her life.
Colleen's personal joys painted an even brighter picture of her existence. A devoted cat lover, she found companionship in her two feline friends, Jericho and Cecil. The great outdoors called to her soul; she delighted in sunsets, the beaches of Oscoda and Tawas, which embodied her deep-rooted love for Michigan’s natural beauty. She enjoyed reading under the sun and indulging in her creativity through crafting—simple pleasures that enriched her days and reflected her vivacious spirit.
Colleen's interests took a delightfully whimsical turn when she expressed her belief in the existence of Bigfoot, even attending a Bigfoot convention held in Michigan. This fascination added a layer of charm to her already captivating character, showcasing her playful spirit and willingness to embrace the mysteries of life.
