Crilakshmi Sari Devi Suprapto (born Somchitt Indapata), age 83, passed away December 3, 2019.
She was the beloved wife of the late Raden Mas Mahhardi Suprapto; loving mother of Emma-Kristina (Brian S.) Fayz; devoted grandmother of Alexander A. and Olivia Y. Fayz; and dear sister of Somsri Srichuen, Somsak Khanthikoon, and Somjade Khanthikoon.
Crilakshmi was born in Lampang, Thailand. She graduated from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand with a degree in Political Science. She came to America in the 1960’s to receive her Master’s Degree in Library Science from Texas Women’s University. Crilakshmi worked at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York as the Catalog Librarian for Thai, Cambodian, and Laos books for the Southeast Asian Library collection until her retirement. She loved to travel and explore around the world with her husband. Following her retirement she spent three months in Cambodia volunteering at the National Archives of Cambodia in Phnom Penh. In her later years, she moved to Michigan with her husband to be close to her daughter and two grandchildren. She was an active member in the Thai community at the Midwest Buddhist Meditation Center, the first Thai Temple in Michigan.

Visitation and ceremony Friday, December 6, 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren. Cremation service to follow at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, at 12:30 p.m.
