Gerald Przybylski

March 3, 1932 — September 9, 2022

Warren, Michigan

Gerald Przybylski, age 90, passed away September 9, 2022.

Gerald was the beloved husband of Dolores Przybylski for 70 years; loving father of Linda (Robert) Burk, Louis (Michele) Przybylski, Janine (Mark) Cochran, and Denise (Michael) Cleary; devoted grandfather of Tiffany (Kevin) Jacobson, Aaron (Lisa) Burk, Matthew (Jessica) Super, Sarah Super, Robert (Jia Liu) Przybylski, Katie (Mike Horowitz) Przybylski, Daniel (Denyé) Super, Shane (Janelle) Cochran, and Erika (Jason Harris) Cleary; proud great-grandfather of Michael (Hannah), Blake, and Camden.

Jerry met the love of his life, Dolores Farhat in their childhood Detroit neighborhood when they were both 15 years old. Four years later while Jerry was on leave from the Air Force, they were married at historic St Florian church in Hamtramck. The epic wedding celebration lasted all morning, day and night and included breakfast, lunch, dinner and an evening of dancing. They were married for 70 loving years.

Jerry was passionate and proud of his long career at General Electric while his heart and soul were deeply devoted to family. He and Dolores were at the hospital at the time of birth for most of their grandchildren and they were ever present at the grandkids’ many sporting activities and theater performances. Jerry loved talking about his grandkids and would frequently proudly tell others that now as adults “they are all professionals”. Festive holiday celebrations at Jerry and Dolores’ home are among the best memories for their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jerry was very proud of his military service and often shared fond memories about his 4 early adult years in the Air Force. He was also quite proud of his Polish heritage and his beloved city of Hamtramck. He was a student of baseball and loved taking his grandkids to see the Tigers play, which he did well over 100 times. He also loved fishing and bowling and he bowled his best game of 299 when he was 69 years old. He enjoyed traveling with Dolores and family and friends with a strong interest in going on cruises which they did many times.

Jerry was a friendly helper who was generous with his time as he often helped family and friends with home mechanical projects and car repairs. If you knew Jerry, each year you likely received fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini from his fertile, expansive backyard garden.

Described by all as a nice, gentle, caring man, Jerry loved to have friends and family in his home. He will be deeply missed but his pleasant, engaging smile and kindness will always be remembered. Jerry certainly made this world a better place. We love you “hun, dad, papa, Jerry “.
