Gliceria Q. Angeles, age 79, found peace with the Lord and joined her husband on December 3, 2021.
Gliceria was the beloved wife of the late Hermenegildo Angeles; loving mother of Rowena Angeles, Susan (David) Proefke, Cherry (Joseph Meyer) Angeles, Leslie Angeles, and Mina (Roy) Montero; and devoted grandmother of Kara, Matthew, Blaine, Alex, Noah, Kalia, Javan, Zion, and Rio. She is survived by her two brothers, Teodoro and Virgilio, and three sisters, Preciosa, Cornelia, and Victoria. She is also survived by her mother, Teodocia.
Glecy loved to have fun, was always bubbly, wore a huge smile, and laughed often. She loved to celebrate with her family and many friends, and she was always the life of the party. She was very generous with her time and talents, and she loved giving service to anyone in need. Her motto was “Just be nice to everyone”. Glecy was intelligent and strong in her beliefs.
Glecy was a registered nurse, and worked at the following hospitals: North Detroit General Hospital, Kern Hospital, and Saint John Macomb. She retired in 2008 and became the “traveling nanay”. She was strong in her faith as a Catholic and attended the following churches over the years: Saint Vincent Ferrer, Saint Dennis, Saint Louise, Saint Anastasia, and Saint Michael.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 19, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Novena being prayed starting at 7:00 p.m. at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan. Interment will follow at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak, Michigan.
