Jane (Opoka) Walczak

Jane Walczak (nee: Opoka), age 97, went into the loving arms of the Lord August 22, 2019.

Jane was born in 1921 in Hamtramck, Michigan, and she was predeceased by her brothers, Edmond and Joseph, and sisters Anne, Agnes, Elizabeth, Helen, Mary, and Sally.  She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Jane was a devout Catholic and an active member of her parishes.  She taught Catechism/Religious Ed after her retirement from 15 years of teaching in the Warren Consolidated School System.  Jane was a member and an officer of the Polish Women’s Alliance (PWA) group 418.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 4401 Bart Street, Warren, MI  48091 on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her parish, St. Mark Catholic Church.
