Joann (Busellato) Okuniewski

Joann Okuniewski, age 88, passed on April 14, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent and her daughter Cynthia.   Joann married Vincent “Okie” Okuniewski on May 29, 1954.

Joann is survived by her children Tina (Kevin) Green, Michael (Victoria), and Lisa (Jeff) Erfourth.  Proud Grandma of Jennifer (Danny), Vincent, Ashlee, James (Julie), Jarrett (Lori), Lola, and Ruby; and proud Great-Grandma of Roselynn, Dimitrije, and Henry.

Joann will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, family gatherings, and her fiery spirit that she served to strengthen everyone she met.   She was always a cheerleader for her grandkid’s sports activities.  She was an avid bowler (172 average). Lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings.

She was an Aunt/Great Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.  She will be truly missed.

Visitation Thursday, April 21, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Rosary Service. Instate, Friday, April 22, 2022, 10:30 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. All services are located at David Wysocki Funeral Home - Warren, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, MI 48092.
