John Vincent Bucchare

John V. Bucchare, age 77, passed away October 3, 2022.

John was the beloved husband of Darline Bucchare for 27 years; loving father of Angela (Scott) Raedel, Lisa (Christopher) Radjewski, and Vincent (Jenifer) Bucchare; step-father of Darryl (Heather) Lafata, David (Michelle) Lafata, and Debra (Tim) Kreger; devoted grandfather of Travis, Samantha, Matthew, Allyson, Johnny and Melanie; step-grandfather of Cody, Timmy, Madison, and Hunter; and dear brother of Prudence (Gary) Rasnake, Elaine Cantu, and Michael Bucchare.

John lived in Warren, Michigan with his wife of 27 years, Darline. He and Darline loved camping and traveling and ushering plays at the Grosse Pointe Theater.

John spent most of his working life as a Lathe Operator for Paslin, an automotive parts supplier in Warren, MI.

He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids at their birthday parties and holidays.

His favorite place to visit was Houghton Lake, Michigan, where his family vacationed. He spent many summers at the Mounds Resort as a young boy.

He continued the tradition by taking his children to Houghton Lake starting in the 1980s. He bought a Bayliner boat and enjoyed fast trips around the lake, visiting the Mounds, throwing a frisbee in the water, taking the kids tubing, and trying to get a hole-in-one at Putt-R Golf.

Renting a cabin for a week became an annual tradition that was followed by his kids. John made sure to visit his kids and grandkids who rented cabins for a week each summer over the years. He loved sitting in his chair at the water’s edge, watching the grandkids play in the sand, staring at the water, and then wading in the water… which inevitably resulted in him instigating a water gun fight with his kids and grandkids.

Even though he was only able to spend a few days at Houghton Lake during the last few years, memories were made and it will be times like these where we will miss him the most.

Visitation Thursday, October 6, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 7, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service held at the funeral home.
