Joseph A. Siwicki, age 88, passed away April 9, 2024.
Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Siwicki for 65 years; loving father of Linda Sollars, the late David Siwicki, Richard Siwicki, Daniel Siwicki, James (Kathleen) Siwicki, and Paul (Lynnette) Siwicki; devoted grandmother of Julia, Amanda, Madison, Carrigan, Roxanne, Chris (Diane), Joey, and Vanessa (Josh); many great and great-great grandchildren; and predeceased by his 6 siblings Walter Siwicki, Anna Siwicki, Thelma (Leo) Kirpluk, Bernice (Tony) Cipielewski, Virgie (Edward) Kudzia, and Frank (Virgie) Siwicki.
Joseph was born in Hamtramck. He lost both of his parents at a young age and was raised in Hamtramck by his older sisters. While working at the Daily Creamery in Hamtramck, he met Dorothy, the love of his life, got married, and started a family. He was a retired factory worker at Dodge Truck after 29 plus years. In his younger days, he enjoyed skiing, camping, and going to the movies. He was an active member in the CB patrol community watch program in Hamtramck for many years. During his retirement years, he enjoyed going to the casinos, reading, and watching TV. We are grateful to know he is now reunited with the love of his life, Dorothy, but he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
