Linda Marie Zuzga

Linda Marie Zuzga passed away on December 15, 2021 at the age of 67 after a life of serving others.

Linda was born on May 2, 1954 — the firstborn child of Natalie and Arthur Zuzga who preceded her in death.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Linda spent her career dedicated to caring for patients as a physician’s assistant. She worked at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic Hospital before moving back home to Metro Detroit and joining the staff at Beaumont Hospital where she spent most of her career. She took pride in her ability to solve complex medical problems and provide comfort to those in their deepest time of need.

While she achieved great success in her career of more than 30 years, Linda’s deepest love, pride, and joy was found in mothering her daughter Andrea who was born in 1988.

Linda doted on her daughter constantly and was heavily involved in her life despite a demanding career. Many of her fondest memories are on trips to Disney World. She was the Girl Scout’s leader over Andrea’s troop and even coached basketball! When Andrea was on the court, the softball diamond, or the soccer field Linda was sure to be among the loudest voices on the sidelines or in the stands.

Linda loved dogs, an adoring momma to several over the years. She gave generously to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Andrea (Leon) Hendrix, her grandchildren, Landon and Hudson Hendrix, her brother Gary (Lucia) Zuzga, her aunt Geraldine Dikowski, her niece Brittany (Mikey) Kimball, nephew Nathan (Megan) Zuzga, and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held for Linda on Monday, December 20, from 9:15 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 4571 John R Rd, Troy, MI 48085.
