Matilda J. Vranovich

Matilda Vranovich, a cherished member of the community, born in Hamtramck went peacefully at the age of 81, to join the Lord reuniting with her beloved parents Anthony and Jennie on November 29, 2024. 

Matilda's parents came to the United States from Austria. Matilda assisted in building their family home in Warren, Michigan, where Matilda grew up, worshipped, worked, and enjoyed retirement until her passing. Matilda earned a Master's Degree Plus in Special Education from Wayne State University. and dedicated her life to teaching special needs children for Warren Consolidated Schools. Retiring in 2005 after many years and many fond memories of her students. Which she considered her family. Matilda's faith, friends and home were her whole heart. She enjoyed hosting many large summer parties and bringing friends together to enjoy food, music, good times and great memories. She was an avid reader and writer. Matilda enjoyed traveling abroad, learning about other cultures and cuisine which she loved to cook. Matilda cherished her pets and enjoyed the outdoors. Gardening, concerts, plays, along with watching the wildlife in her yard. A parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church. Matilda looked forward to helping out at the church as well as donating her time to help out at St Anne Sausage festival. Matilda was a true giver. Making donations faithfully to several organizations and volunteering her time throughout her lifetime.

Matilda's Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 32000 Mound Road, Warren, Michigan. Instate will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the interment will take place following the services at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
