Nick Apostol

Nick Apostol of Warren passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

Nick was an Eastern High graduate, veteran and long time Eastern Market restauranteur. He relished his many adventures camping.  First, in his youth as a Boy Scout, then as a young man with friends.  He loved music and played the violin.  Nick won many awards for his skills as a dancer.  He was an avid golfer (sub par - his game, not his scores) and racquetball player (he was really good!). He built a cottage by Houghton Lake for weekends and vacations with family and friends, creating treasured memories - past, present and future. Nick was kind and quick with a smile, he was the consummate host, always making sure everyone was having a good time.

Preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 39 years, Lola (nee Benacquisto), parents Louis and Helen and sisters Mary Anne and Penny.  Survived by his brother Paul, sons John (Angie) and Nicholas (Kim) and the lights of his life grandchildren Jenna, Sarah, Luke, Jessica and Nathan. " And that's it!"

A memorial gathering is planned for Thursday, July 8th from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. With a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m.

Interment Service Monday, December 6, 11:00 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
