Rita (Gerada) Jaye

Rita Theresa Jaye (Gerada) left this earth peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  She happily celebrated her 94th birthday on January 11th.

Rita’s joy for family and friends kept her spirit pushing through the struggles and challenges of years of failing health.  She was always determined.  She had the wonderful opportunity of family and friends’ support after the loss of her husband, Robert Walter Jaye (Jazowski), in 2007.  Rita is survived by 4 children: Paula Radtke, Robert Jaye, Cheryl Paine, Janice Teno, their significant others: Shelley Jaye, Don Eckert, Robert Teno, 5 grandchildren: Dayna Krug (Charlie Krug), Kelly Radtke, Kelsey Jaye (Ben Cox), Dyanna Jaye, Melanie Paine, the late Chris Teno, Jeff Teno, and 3 great-grandchildren: Sabrina and Daniel Krug, Maryahna Jaye.  Rita was a loving, caring, social, and independent woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She leaves years’ worth of cherished memories with those who loved and cared for her.

In honor of her wishes, memorial events will not be held, and her ashes to be scattered, at a later date.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to make arrangements for a memorial tree to be planted in her honor.
