Rudy was a specialist at the Ford Windsor Plant on the convertible roof and fender assembly line. He went back to school (RETS) electronic technical school and graduated in 1954. In 1956 to 1975 he worked for IBM and then at that time in 1975 it was mandatory to take 1 year of midnights. After 1 year of chaos in the family life, he decided he would take permanent midnights and worked an additional 15 years on that shift until he retired 1990. He became "Mr. Midnight" to fellow employees at IBM.
After moving to the US in 1963, we joined the Italian Club and decided to take ballroom class on Dottie's demand. They then graduated to square dancing and eventually found Polka! Rudy and Dottie were sold! The Polka club's became their "second family"! Rudy and Dottie loved travel and went to many different states with the Polka Pals.
Rudy loved sports and watching the grandkids...hockey was the most significant sport followed closely by the second, golf! Rudy also loved the Red Wings and all Detroit sports.
He also loved making birthday and holiday cards for the family with his hidden signature logo "RJR"...everyone loved trying to find the hidden signature.
Rudy's two sons Mark and Terry were his most cherished accomplishments and his 4 grandsons; Derek, Craig, Tony and Jared. They were the apple of his eye.
