Sandra C. Frederick

Sandra C. Frederick, affectionately known as "Nammie," left this world on March 4, 2025, in Romeo, Michigan, surrounded by the warmth of loved ones. Born on December 24, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, Sandra lived a life full of creativity, love, and laughter.

Sandra was a loving and caring person, known for her witty sense of humor and generous spirit. Her creativity shone through in all endeavors, particularly her passion for crafting, where she would transform simple materials into cherished creations. She also had a special fondness for collecting dolls and teddy bears, each item telling its own unique story, much like the tales she crafted throughout her life.

To those who were fortunate enough to know her, her pride in her family was unmistakable. Sandra dedicated herself to raising her daughters, Nicole (George) Hallman and Melissa (Nathan) Scire, with love and guidance that shaped their lives. Her grandchildren, Abbie (Jake Miller) Throneberry, Jackson Hallman, and Amelia Scire, held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. As their "Nammie," she created memories that will last a lifetime, ensuring her love continues to resonate in their hearts.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Sandra is survived by her sister, Colette (Craig) Stevens. She was a beloved sister and cherished friend, and her absence will be deeply felt among those who had the privilege of sharing their lives with her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her caring parents, Robert and Loretta Chaplen, and her siblings, John Chaplen and Dody Blackburn. Although their physical presence is no longer with us, we find comfort knowing that they are reunited, sharing in the love that defined their family.

A memorial gathering to honor Sandra's remarkable life will take place on March 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Villa Penna Banquet, 43985 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the wonderful legacy she leaves behind—a testament to a life lived with passion, kindness, and an unwavering love for her family.

As we remember Sandra, let us carry forward her spirit of creativity, generosity, and humor, cherishing every moment and preserving the love she so freely gave. She may have left this world, but her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
