Shirley G. Mitchell

Shirley Gail Mitchell, age 98, passed away August 22, 2024.

Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Edward Jannusch and the late Jesse James Mitchell; loving mother of the late Sherry Matthews and Edward (Tonya) Jannusch; devoted grandmother of Cory (Kim) Caruana and Heather (Mike) Alent; and proud great-grandmother of Ethan, Charlotte, Christian, and Hunter. Shirley was one of ten siblings, the only one to survive her was her brother, Jim Smith.

The most important things in life to Shirley were the Lord and her family. She faithfully attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church through the years where she lived out her faith. Shirley loved and worked hard to make a home for her family. She cared and provided for them in any way she could. She especially loved being there and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation Monday, August 26, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. Visitation will continue, here at the funeral home, on Tuesday, August 27, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service. Interment to follow at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, Michigan.
