Peacefully on February 19th Stella left this world to join her parents, Harry and Lena Pellack, sister Marion and brother Harry Jr. after battling multiple illness’. She leaves behind a legacy of love: daughter Marsha Calhoun (Dan); grandchildren: Courtney (Eddy) Castellano; Gregory (Rochelle) Calhoun; Patrick Calhoun and three adoring great-grandchildren: Magnus Calhoun, Alexis Castellano and Lucian Castellano; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
From an early age challenges with poor health confronted her, and continued throughout her lifetime, however she never gave up. A single Mother, she was incredibility selfless, fiercely loyal and never complained about what could have been. She had a heart full of love to share. Thru the years that heart grew to encompass Dan as a son, and then came her beloved grandchildren and finally the “babies” who brought her immeasurable joy.
Stella loved to read, work crossword puzzles (until her eyes began to fail) watch games shows, loved sports and was the #1 Hockey Grandma to the boys.
As we celebrate Stella, keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. Donations in her name can be made to: St. Judes Children’s Hospital or the Capuchin Kitchen.
