Thomas W. Ozarski

Thomas Walter Ozarski, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 6, 2024. Tom was the son of the late Chester Ozarski and Julia Alice Lubkowski; loving father of Jill Ozarski (Travis Keeley) and Amy (Sean) Lantis; devoted grandfather of Gavin Lantis, Kieran Lantis, Adelaide Keeley and Mirabel Keeley; brother of Robert (Idel) Ozarski and Barbara Ozarski. He was also survived by his life-partner, Maureen Verkest

Tom loved tinkering and fixing things, especially cars. He loved sunsets over the Great Lakes and made lifelong friends. He graduated from the University of Detroit and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, returning home to work in the manufacturing industry as a buyer for most of his career. Tom found peace with his military service late in his career when he worked for the Department of Defense at the Armory helping supply the parts that protected soldiers in the field. He was devoted to his daughters and family and will be deeply missed. 

Instate visitation Saturday, August 24, from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. funeral service at St. Anne Catholic Church, 32000 Mound Road, Warren. Luncheon to follow. Military honors and internment will take place 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
