Verbie Gene England, Jr. AKA Bub "short for a long story".

Bub, age 65, of Warren, Michigan passed away September 20, 2023. Bub was born on August 23, 1958, in Sparta, Tennessee to Jean and Verb England. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, his sons, Andy (Becka) England and Mike (Maggie) England, grand-animals, Dexter, Oliver, Jemma, and Luna, his siblings, Gail (Danny) Bidinger, Rena Davies, Steve Moore, Theresa (Dave) Waun, and Jeff (Katy) England, brothers and sisters-in-law, Faith, Cindy, David (Carol), Kevin (Dawn), Kenny (Theresa), and Peggy (Steve), his 32 nieces and nephews, his many great-nieces and nephews, and a multitude of dear friends. Bub was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Verb England, stepmother, June England, stepbrother, Gary Moore, nephews, Keith Spencer, Brandon Reece, Travis Reece, Jimmy DeLaRosa, and niece, Alayna June Moore.

Bub and Karen met at 15 Mile Road Baptist Church and married August 3, 1985. Bub graduated from Hazel Park High School class of 1975. He received his Associate Degree from Macomb Community College in Automotive Technology. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and proudly served his country for 9 years where he achieved the rank of Sargent of the motor pool. He served 2 years in Korea where he maintained generators for the missiles near the DMZ. He was a Life Member of the VFW Acorn Post in Royal Oak and was also a member of the American Legion. He had a long career in the automotive industry that started as a mechanic at a service station and ended at Ford Motor Company as a Driveline Systems Analyst in Research and Development. Bub enjoyed driving his 1966 Chevelle in his younger years. He also enjoyed golfing with his buddy Darin, bowling at Bowl One with the Adams & Eves, singing basement karaoke at Summerset Tavern, and vacationing and Sunday dinners with the Clique. Bub thoroughly enjoyed his time in Florida with the Coach House Campers. He loved to travel the countryside with the love of his life, Karen, in his 5th wheel camper visiting National Parks. Together they have seen 44 states. He looked forward to "The 3 Phases of Retirement; the Go Go Phase, the Slow Go Phase, and the No Go Phase". He was so happy that he was "able to retire before he expired". Bub never met a stranger and touched so many lives. He was always there to help out a neighbor. He was the favorite "Unca Bub". He will be sorely missed and left a hole in our hearts.
